Let’s just admit it, we all struggle with keeping Christmas in perspective. The season just seems to sweep us away, propelling us forward into the spinning world of over-commitment, over-spending and over-everything! If you are already over it, or are overwhelmed at even beginning it, I hope what I share in this video is encouraging and helpful to you. After watching, make sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post for a giveaway!
We are not only celebrating Advent here on the blog today, we are celebrating the launch of my new website! I feel as if I am entering a new season of life AND ministry! Whoo hoo! Because I appreciate you so very much, I’m giving away three 8×10 art prints designed by Emily at Blue Chair Blessing! Click here to learn more about her amazing business and ministry! I’ve purchased many of Emily’s beautiful items over the years. They make wonderful and thoughtful gifts too! To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment here on the blog! Share something you are looking forward to during the Advent season or an Advent tradition that is a special part of your personal or family preparation! Please indicate your first, second, and third choices of the prints, should your name be chosen! I will choose three winners (!!!) on the second Sunday of Advent – December 8th! The prints will be mailed out early next week, in plenty of time for Christmas! The big question is – will you keep it for yourself or give it away?
I look forward to reading your comments and will be praying for each one of you during the coming weeks. Thank you so much for joining me on the journey! May Jesus not only is the center of your Advent and Christmas but may He be the center of everything – in every season of your life. Merry Christmas!

PS. Here are links to some of the Advent resources I mentioned in the video AND don’t forget to go to my Freebies page for three pretty Christmas printables {they are perfect to tuck into a Christmas card}.

As we enter into this beautiful season help me not forget the true reason and let me look for the joy that our Savior brings. All the prints are beautiful. I would like the family is rooted in faith. Have a great week
Thanks so much, Elaine! Merry Christmas!
I love Christmas time because it reminds everyone of Christ even though they may not attend church regularly. It keeps him on their minds for at least a month giving him time to speak to their hearts. What an amazing way to work through him. I would love any of these prints but would prefer 3 or 2. Have a blessed Christmas season❤️
Thank you, Sharon! Merry Christmas!
I love this holy time of Christmas! How can we picture Christ’s birth and the simplicity that surrounded it without realizing there is beauty in the fact that less is more! Thank you Laura for all you do to bring and keep us close to our Savior! I have heard you speak many times and have loved it every time! Blessings to you and your family at this holy season! (My favorite of the three prints you are giving away is the last one about the family being rooted in faith!)
Thank you so much for commenting and taking part in the give-away, Amy! Merry Christmas!
Christmas is such a joyous time of year for me and my family. The advent season is so important to us in preparing our hearts for Jesus. Thank you for sharing with us your love of Jesus. Have a blessed Christmas Season! (All of the prints are beautiful, I cannot choose a favorite.)
Thanks for stopping by Nancy! I agree – all three prints are beautiful! Xoxo
This year I’m looking to anticipate what surprise God has in store for me as I lay down what’s always been for what is right here and right now.
Prayed for you just now, Shelia. xo
I love taking a few minutes each day during Advent to simply “Be still” with an Advent devotional……. And it’s even sweeter with a cup of coffee and the Christmas tree lights on!
(The first print “When my heart is overwhelmed” holds a dear place in my heart. That verse was given to me by a special sister in Christ during a season in my life where I was completely overwhelmed for months with caring for a very sick mother.)
Love you Laura and all that you’re doing for us 💙. You are such a blessing 💚
Love you Julie. I am blessed to know you. xoxo
I came across a something new this year that I plan to make a tradition…starting with December 1, I am reading one chapter of Luke each day. On December 24, I will finish Luke, and have read the entire story of Jesus’s life.
I love this plan, Cindy! What a great tradition to begin! Merry Christmas!
