Soul Fitness: Strengthening Your Core {how to not lose your mind}

Oh sisters, the weeks are marching by and the information just keeps on coming. I’m sharing a little encouragement for when we experience information overload and the only way I know to not lose your mind!

The scripture shared in the video is from Psalm 146: 3-5 (NIV).

Do not put your trust in princes,

in human beings, who cannot save.

When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;

on that very day their plans come to nothing.

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,

whose hope is in the Lord their God.

And in The Message translation:

Don’t put your life in the hands of experts,

who know nothing of life, of salvation life.

Mere humans don’t have what it takes;

when they die, their projects die with them.

Instead, get help from the God of Jacob,

put your hope in God and know real blessing!

By now, your trust muscle has been given quite a workout. My prayer is that you are stronger than before the crisis. You have already done many things you never thought you could do! Thank God for His kindness!

We will never be perfect, but we can place ourselves in the best possible posture to be perfected by His sovereign work in our lives – and that will always involve trusting Him more. Stay the course, sweet friends!

Sending love,

    Thanks Laura – this message is so needed! It’s easy to get worried and overwhelmed when we put our trust in the news and “experts”. I agree – I don’t know how I could do this without God in my life! There’s no other way but to trust in HIM!

      1. Amen! Let us have ears to hear..God is speaking and working. Thank you for the reminder to keep our trust in Him. It’s a fine line of being informed and overloaded these days.

  2. Thank you Laura. Amen Amen and Amen! We are living through a major reset and my prayers are that no one is the same after this. That we will all be more open and accepting of the love and relationship offered to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. For He is mighty to save and is living among us!

  3. Thanks for taking your time Laura, to send out encouragement for us to trust in the Lord in these weird and troubled times!
