What Others Are Saying...
Planning a women’s retreat with Laura Acuña is a blessing that will stay with me for years to come. Aside from her topic that was perfect for our group and her generosity in planning our retreat, it was the fellowship that we shared that made the greatest impact. Laura’s love for the Lord is evident in all that she says and does. Her knowledge of scripture showed me how passionate she is about her calling and her warm, loving personality made me want to be her friend. Her story is one that every woman can relate to. All of Laura’s qualities translated into an extraordinary event that made every woman feel loved.

From the first time I heard Laura speak at our church’s women’s retreat, I was drawn in by her vulnerability and her passion for sharing God’s truth. She is authentic and her story is relevant and relatable. Laura went above and beyond to connect with her audience, even sacrificing her breaks between sessions to patiently listen as other women poured out their hearts and shared their own stories. Since then, I have had the privilege of participating in many of Laura’s women’s ministry events, and every time I leave feeling encouraged to make positive changes and move into a closer relationship with Jesus. I highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for an impactful, inspiring message deeply rooted in God’s Word.

The first time I heard Laura communicate, my exact response was ‘Wow’! Laura’s teaching style is passionate, relatable, and hope-filled. She radiates warmth, kindness and a genuine interest in those around her — on and off the platform. Her amazing story of transformation, coupled with her solid biblical teaching, will leave you also saying “wow!” If you’re looking for a dynamic communicator, Laura has my highest recommendation!

Laura lovingly connects with her audience, as she weaves biblical applications through her life story. Thank you, Laura, for your transparency on hard issues that offers permission for those who need enhanced growth opportunities from the Word!

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.” - Matthew 18:12–13
I found this print in Nashville last month and couldn’t stop thinking about it. It perfectly captures what I’ve seen the Lord do over and over again - He goes after the one. Every time.
I’m hanging it in my office so it’s always in view -a reminder of His kindness and of the loved ones I’ve watched Him so tenderly pursue. A long time ago, I was “the one” too.
Christianity was never meant to be an exclusive club. It’s not about condemnation or judgment - it’s about home, belonging, grace, forgiveness, unconditional love and so much more.
It isn’t a political party. It transcends everything that divides us. What a relief in a world so marked by sides and separation.
At the center of it all is Jesus - who cares deeply about our individual hearts and souls, and who will always, always go to any length to come after you with open arms. 🕊️

The trees have taken their sweet time this year, then changed overnight! 🍂 🍁🍂 This is my kitchen view this morning - the photo doesn’t do it justice!
I always said I’d never want a gas fireplace - I love the sound and smell of a real wood fire but I’ve got to admit… I love flipping that switch each morning. Easy and cozy coffee time!
I know, I know - it’s a slippery slope! But I’m still hanging on to my real Christmas tree. 😂🎄🔥

Pat and I took a walk through downtown Gettysburg today to mark two months of living here. Yay! We’re still getting to know our new town, and each time we head out, we find something new we love.
Today it was this little guy — standing guard at the door of a lovely bed and breakfast, watching the world go by, clearly taking his job as “chief of hospitality” very seriously. I mean, look at that face!
On the way home, we pulled over to take a picture of the sunset over the battlefields.
We’re grateful to be here and starting to feel more settled every day! 🍂🍁🍂
