Hi There!
If you are like me, trusting God while waiting is an on-going exercise. I’d like to tell you I have conquered the tendency to want to worry and fret, but that’s simply not true. I am still growing and learning.
In my 59 years on this earth, I have increasingly trusted Him more and more, but I still struggle. My natural self wants an answer to all my ‘what ifs’ before I say yes to God.
In Elizabeth’s story last week, we learned that we can grow in patience as we wait. She was one patient sister! When she found she was finally pregnant, it was clear her prolonged time of waiting was for a divine purpose. With God, timing is everything.
In Mary’s story, Elizabeth appears again and we learn a valuable lesson about trusting Him when we can’t see the whole picture. Mary shows us how to say yes, and leave all of our ‘what ifs’ to Him.
Love to all!

I love how your face lights up when you read scripture! Magnify your God, not your problem. I will remember that always. Thank you for your words of wisdom.
Michele: Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment. I love the Word of God. Merry Christmas! xoxo
Laura, Once again your insight resonates with me! Last night, during a fitful night’s sleep, I heard the word ‘TRUST’ very loud and clear, then this morning I listened to your blog! Wow! You are right, “With God, timing is everything.” I see Mary as a TRUST model…I struggle daily with the next steps of my women’s ministry, as the launch gets closer, I get more anxious…so I need to TRUST as Mary did and leave the outcomes to God! I recently shared with one of my wise counselors that I was “scared to death” to implement the vision God has placed upon my heart for this ministry. She said, “That’s fear of failure.” The more I pondered her comment, the more I came to realize, the fear I am experiencing is my fear of not being able to trust God enough (totally) even through to date He has provided everything to move this ministry forward in His perfect timing. You know how we say, yes, and then we take it back by questioning the “What ifs?” So starting today, I am going to magnify my God by keeping my eyes on Jesus and TRUST God for the results and turning off the “What ifs.” Thank you Laura for your faithfulness to our Lord during this beautiful ADVENTure. Linda
Wow, Linda! I love how God continues to connect the dots as you keeping moving forward in trust. I am cheering you on from the sidelines and covering you in prayer as you get closer to the launch of the ministry He has entrusted you with. Merry Christmas! xo
I love how you said to “magnify your God” whether walking through fear or facing a difficult situation. Thank you so much for the encouragement!!
Thank you, Lisa. It is easier said than done and a ‘practice’ what develops over time — if we commit to it! Merry Christmas!
