Soul Fitness: Strengthening Your Core {feed yourself first}

Hi There,

As promised, this is the second video blog of the new series. Each little lesson will offer one exercise to help strengthen our core (our trust muscle) during this disorienting, upside down time. In order to stay steady and strong, we truly need to be strengthened on the inside.

Our first Soul Fitness exercise was to remember God’s faithfulness. I hope you have put it into practice, and have seen new evidence of it in your life. I placed my memory stone on my window sill next to my violas. Ah, Spring!

Today’s exercise involves putting yourself first.

The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought,And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden,And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.  – Isaiah 58:11

Amen!

With love and prayers,

PS. A few years ago, I wrote a blog post on living water and underground springs. It speaks to the same principles I discuss in today’s video. I hope it blesses you – please share if you know anyone who may be struggling. We are all in this together. xo

  1. Thank you Laura! Such a good word for these strange and surreal times. As believers in Jesus we are at our best when we live out of trust and not out of fear.
    Feeding (on His Word) myself 1st!

    1. Nan – so good to hear from you. I hope you and your loved ones are well. I’m grateful we have the option as believers to choose faith over fear! xo
