Happy May! I hope you are all well and are able to find the blessings in this long time of social isolation. There have been so many, but there have been losses too. When my pastor preached from 1 Samuel on Sunday, I knew I wanted to share one of my favorite verses with you today.
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. – 1 Samuel 30:6
I am praying you are practicing this sweet discipline of the faith, encouraging yourself in the Lord, during this time of both loss and blessing.
And, one of the most beautiful gifts from all the losses? We will have learned to be content without all of the things we think make us who we are.
God’s peace and grace to you. Sending so much love,
