Two Steps To Find Your Why

Hey Girlfriends,

This week, I want to give you two steps to find your why. Last week was the ‘why you might want to consider this’ message and today I’m giving you the ‘how to.’ 😊 I hope it is encouraging – discovering your why is life changing and there is no deep healing without it.

I want to thank those of you who reached out to me last week following Finding The Why. You encouraged me with your stories! I am so grateful that you are open to begin the journey with Jesus to untangle some of the more puzzling aspects of your lives. You will be in my prayers.

In the beginning of today’s video, I tell a story about a favorite summer recipe. I thought I’d share it with you! You will find the printable recipe if you click here.

As always, I love to hear from you! You can always drop me an email at the ‘say hi’ tab above or leave a comment here on the blog.

Love you dearly!

PS. Wow- don’t ya just love the look on my face?? Why does YouTube always freeze the video at the most unattractive moment?? Lol! I promise my happy face is coming!

  1. Thanks for sharing! I just watched both of these videos back to back and I love how you relate the everyday to a spiritual lesson. I so appreciate your transparency and willingness to share your personal struggle and for giving practical ways to begin this journey of asking God for the whys. He always wants to do something in us when we are experiencing a situation where we don’t understand why.

    1. Angela: I couldn’t agree more — the”why” that sometimes isn’t obvious, is the key to healing and moving forward once and for all. xo

  2. Laura,

You are helping, you can know and believe that. My professional job is to speak for a living and as a sister who shares this vocation/advocation with you, we understand how important it is to connect with your audience. You do this every time you pour your heart out and share what the Lord has taught and worked out in your life. I love the passages from James that you shared today and had committed them to memory long ago. Trust and obey. If we all could but let the Father into the deepest recesses of our hearts, we would find Him already dwelling there.
In sharing so openly with your sisters you are encouraging all of us to overcome whatever may be holding us back from true intimacy with God.
    Remain encouraged!

    1. Jenni – your words came to me at just the right time. Since we share similar callings, you know what this specific encouragement means to me. God is good. Thank you so much for allowing God to use you today. I love your words, “If we all could but let the Father into the deepest recesses of our hearts, we would find Him already dwelling there.” Yes. That is my experience – He was already there. I so want to give this hope to women who are afriad to “go there.” I was too – but when I did, I found Him already there. Thanks again, Jenni. You have been a blessing. xo
