Waiting For What’s Next

This morning, I was up early to have a little quiet time before my first day back to school. It wasn’t the nice, long quiet time I have been used to all summer –  it was early, it was dark and I only had 15 minutes. Even so, God had something to say to me and I want to share it with you.

I read from one of my favorite devotionals, Streams in the Desert and I truly felt like today’s words were written just for me – but I’ve been thinking all day that they may have been written for you too. 🙂

Are you waiting and praying for what’s next?

Here is the Streams in the Desert devotion for September 5th.

Please let me know if you too are waiting for what’s next – I would love to pray for you!

Many Blessings,

  1. Love this one, Laura – Streams in the Desert is part of my devotions each day, and this one spoke to me so personally . . . “choosing not to choose” . . . just waiting and trusting. Thank you for your ministry!

    1. Verna – So good to hear from you and thank you for your encouraging words. ‘Streams’ is almost a necessity when you are in a season of grief, as I know you are. I am praying for you. xoxo

  2. Laura- Thanks for you latest message on waiting. As I heal from recent surgery and continue my ongoing challenge with Alzheimer’s, I am excited to attend Be coming to Crossroads Retreat again this fall with my daughter. My desire is to return to ministry at a local retirement village where I have freedom to minister the Good News to staff and residents. Prayers appreciated! Seeya soon!

    1. Barb – you have SO MUCH going on and yet, you are great example of the Proverbs 31 woman – “She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.” Thank you for sharing. I am praying for you. xoxo
