A Clean Slate: Your Past Does Not Define Your Future

Everything that we have – right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start – comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:30

We are so hard on ourselves. We take on false beliefs, especially those related to negatives from our past, and operate as if they are truth. By doing so, we allow our ‘slates’ to be written upon with incorrect ideas of ourselves, of God, and of His intentions toward His children. As a result, we can be trapped in the debilitating cycle of shame and guilt.

This message, based on Laura’s testimony and the Word of God, will challenge and equip each woman to:

  • Discover that do-overs and clean slates are God’s specialty!
  • Replace self-condemnation and self-pity with self-compassion
  • Make peace with her past and accept the forgiveness that has already been given
  • Trust the Lord to wipe her slate clean
  • Hand the chalk over to God and allow Him to write a new story

Be Brave: Growing Up and Moving On

On the day I called to You, You answered me. You made me strong and brave. Psalm 138:3

Let’s be honest. Many Christian women, even after years of knowing Jesus, find themselves stuck and unable to move forward. They dream of a life that is relevant and more reflective of their status as one of His precious daughters but, unfortunately, has to admit that they are simply not there. Can you relate? Using the Word of God and lessons she’s learned along the way, Laura will share the brave steps you can take to grow up, move on and discover that it is never too late to be who He created you to be! Through this message Laura will help you…

  • Dare to be honest with yourself about the areas where you are stuck
  • Identify the places where the Lord desires to work in your life
  • See beyond your current circumstances to the plan He has for your life
  • Exchange the lies you believe about yourself with the truth from God’s Word
  • Position yourself to bravely tackle the obstacles that keep you from becoming the woman He created you to be

Walk In It: Shining The Light Along The Way

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8

When most of us were growing up, society was generally favorable toward people of faith. Our beliefs and deep convictions did not draw controversy in the public square they do today. As a result of this culture shift, we can feel overwhelmed and disoriented as we try to walk the walk of faith in a culture that is increasing hostile to followers of Jesus. We may be tempted to hide away with other Christians or lay low and avoid the conversation, but Jesus has commissioned us to be His light in the world. In this message women will:

  • Receive a wake-up call to rise up and understand they have been placed here at this time and in this culture to bring His love and light to a hurting world
  • Catch a glimpse of what could happen if every woman was fully awake in her divine placement in history.
  • Discover that her natural nurturing and protective nature as a woman makes her uniquely designed to bring the Gospel to those far from God with grace and truth
  • Realize she belongs to a legacy of obedient believers who have gone before her who have not only survived, but helped restore their culture back to God
  • End the day full of hope and confidence that she was born for ‘such a time as this.

The Grounded Leader: Emotionally Healthy and Rooted In Him

She is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that she does, she prospers. Psalm 1:3

Jesus once warned about building a house on a poor foundation. Nowhere is this issue more obvious than when leaders are serving without the foundations to sustain them through the shifting sands of ministry leadership. It is vitally important for shepherds of women to be emotionally healthy and rooted in Him.

Laura will equip you to:

  • Recognize the Biblical qualifications for leadership
  • Position yourself to acquire the habits and mindset of a healthy leader
  • Gain insights into the unique heart of a woman who leads
  • Discover and develop practical tools to help you stay grounded in order to avoid the burnout and frustrations that accompany ministry leadership

Grace{full} Parenting: Raising Your Children The Way God Parents You

Fathers {and mothers}, don’t over-correct your children or make it difficult for them to obey the commandments. Bring them up with Christian teaching in Christian discipline. Ephesians 6:4

When it comes to parenting our children, we can easily become confused about God’s job and ours. The truth is, His job is to fix and change and ours is to depend on Him as we nurture and encourage our families. If we get this backwards, we can parent out of fear and slip into the false security of legalism. When we spend all our energy trying to x or transform our children away from their natural ‘bent’, the natural result is frustration, depression and an overall sense of hopelessness – in both the parent and the child! n this message Laura will share the struggles she experienced raising her own three sons and point women to the ultimate parenting expert, example and grace giver – God!

This message will help moms:

  • Recognize the differences between Fear-Full Parenting and Grace-Full Parenting
  • Discover the four attributes of Faith-Full parenting
  • Gain insights in how to parent a child that is quirky or “walks to his own tune”
  • Identify areas in your own parenting where grace is not in place.
  • Break free from patterns of fear and establish a culture of grace, honesty and forgiveness inside
your home.

A Beautiful ADVENTure – Saying “Yes” To God

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would ful ll His promises to her! Luke 1:45

Advent is a season of waiting. Laura’s message, A Beautiful ADVENTure – Saying “Yes” to God, details the stories of three women from the Christmas story: Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna. These women — one young, one middle-aged and one at the end of her life, teach us how to say yes to God’s plan for our lives and remain faithful as the plan unfolds – even if it takes longer than expected. Through Elizabeth, Mary and Anna’s stories women will understand that waiting time does not have to be wasted time.

Ladies of all ages will see that God’s plans for them are not limited by:

  • Their age
  • Their marital status
  • Their past
  • Their present circumstances OR by what others say or think about them.
  • All three women – one engaged, one married and one widowed, right smack in the stage of life they were in, said yes to God and went on a beautiful adventure. Women will be uplifted and encouraged as they enter the Christmas season!

“Our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group was privileged to have Laura speak to us. As a mom herself she spoke to our hearts about, not only trials we may be facing now, but trials we may face in our future mom-hood of tweens, teens and beyond. Laura speaks with authenticity, heart and transparency. It is easy to see her love for her family and the love of Jesus Christ that shines through her wisdom and even her heartfelt literal and verbal hugs. Many of the moms were excited to connect with her even after the meeting was over. We hope to have her back again (soon)!”
